ITANAGAR | May 24 | Mebo MLA-cum-adviser to CM Lombo Tayeng, while attending maiden block level general conference of Donyi Polo Yelam Kebang of Mebo block at Ngopok village, said that he has given special emphasis on promotion and preservation of indigenous faith and culture.
He advised the huge gathering to inculcate the sense peace and harmony for peaceful co-existence in the society with other believers.
He contributed Rs 5 lakh from his own sources for preservation, document and digitalization of most valued script etc of Donyi Polo religions so that it can become an important tools and a treasure house for the upcoming generation. He also gave a token amount of Rs 2 lakh to encourage various cultural troupes.
